LANEHAM ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

 

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held at 7.00 p.m. on Monday 14th May, 2007  in the Village Hall.

 

PRESENT: Cllr G. Scrini, (Chairman), Councillors Mrs B. Barber, P. Baines, P. Cable, F. Clark, J. Cobb, County Cllr J. Hempsall, Dist. Cllr K. Isard and 5 members of the public.

2. MINUTES OF ANNUAL PARISH MEETING 8.5.06

The minutes had been circulated prior to the meeting and Cllr. J. Cobb proposed and Cllr. Mrs. Barber seconded that they were a correct record of the meeting.  The minutes were approved and signed.

 

3.       MATTERS ARISING

There were no matters arising.

 

4.       CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.  In his report he thanked all the councillors and clerk for their support throughout the year.  The year had been a learning curve for him.  There were several significant items of mention during the last year -   

Ø  The reopening of Trentfield Lane as a Bridleway

Ø  The completion of the BBC project for improving the river front and parish field

Ø  The Heritage Trail

Ø  The Parish Plan is nearing its final stages due to the hard work of Cllr Cable and his team

Ø  The demolition of the bus shelter and the plans to rebuild it

Ø  The Garth being made into a wildflower meadow with the help of Notts Wildlife and Breathing Places projects

Ø  Land Registration process has been started

Ø  The BBC church wall project

 

The Chairman also thanked the footpath sweeper, Poor Close Trustees, everyone who had helped with the litter pick, Mr. John Smith for the internal audit and the residents for their continued efforts in keeping the village tidy. 

 

Cllr Cable thanked the  Chairman, on behalf of the other councillors for his leadership and work over the last year

 

5.       ANY OTHER REPORTS

Poor Close Trustees  Cllr F. Clark reported that the Poor Close was in good order the hedge had been cut and once again had been let for the coming year. 

 

 

6.   ANY OTHER RELEVANT BUSINESS

 

There was no other matters raised and the Annual Parish Meeting closed at 7.20 p.m.
